Morning routines are different for everyone. Morning routines might be the most sacred routines to all of us. When one thing goes wrong or unexpectedly at the BEGINNING of our day, it can throw a wrench into everything. We feel "off" when things don't start out as we expect them too.
On the days when I take even a FEW minutes to sit down with Jesus and spend time in His word, those few minutes refresh my spirit and carry and inexplicable peace without me throughout my day. On the days when I convince myself that I don’t have time to sit down and read the Bible—or that l’ll “get to it later” THAT’S when the enemy has room to come in and disrupt everything. Do NOT underestimate your time spent with Him. We are ALWAYS better after spending time with Him.
“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You pprepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever” (PSALM 23:1-6) Xx #haplous #thebabystepsblog #dailyinspiration #monthofpsalms
Thank you for this post! I have been reading the Bible in Spanish, not my first language, which slows me down and gives me time to take in God's word. It has been and continues to be an important experience.
