“Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for him.” (Lamentations 3:22-24)
Be reminded that today is a new day, and more importantly, TODAY IS STILL HERE. I think oftentimes we’re tempted to give up early on in the day if things start spiraling downward. We assume that if we’ve dropped the ball—forgotten to read our Bible, gotten short with our loved ones or co-workers, then we have to get it right TOMORROW, saying “tomorrow is a new day.” That’s true but...TODAY IS STILL HERE! And if Jesus already washed away and paid for the lifetime of your sins, don’t you believe He can turn today around? Let’s give our days to Him—no matter how far gone the day may seem!
