WATCH: How God Gives Us Freedom From Cycles of Drama and Gossip

Have you ever taken time to consider areas of your life where God has transformed you and given you VICTORY or FREEDOM where you once were a slave to cycles?

I have! I personally don’t love to talk about these things because I look back and cringe thinking (gosh, did I seriously used to think or do that?!) BUT God recently reminded me that His victories for us AREN’T JUST ABOUT US!

We are meant to SHARE this freedom, telling the stories of God’s miraculous Hand in our lives so that other sisters and brothers can share and experience the same victory.

SO—here I am sharing the story of how Jesus set me free from a consistent pattern of DRAMA in my life and relationships. THIS VIDEO IS MY STORY :

posted on my church’s women’s ministry page : @daughters.nyc !! This is such an incredible community AND resource for inspiring women of all ages. I’m so grateful to my pastor and friend @georgieclaire for inviting me to be a part of this and my prayer is that it will reach whoever God wants to hear this message of freedom over drama and gossip!.

Remember, God will always give us a way out! With His Heavenly perspective, we can understand our battle is not against flesh and blood, and that our enemy attacks our weaknesses AND our strengths. With Jesus, we can live at peace and ENJOY relationships in the way He designed for us!

Yesterday during my chat on @daughters.nyc IGTV I spoke about my story of freedom from cycles of drama, all thanks to Jesus!

One person asked me, how do you respond or react a when someone tries to bring gossip into a conversation?

My answer: PAUSE and PRAY! Call on Jesus in that very moment to help you and to show you a way out of that temptation. He promises to ALWAYS provide a way out. We know this because His true word tells us in 1 Corinthians 10:13

“God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.”

This doesn’t just apply to a temptation to gossip. It carries over to every kind of sin! Remember. Time is the battlefield. The enemy tries to rush us through this life. We don’t give ourselves permission to PAUSE and ask for God’s help! If God gives us permission, who are we to put other people’s opinions or authority above His? This is a lesson I am continuing to preach over myself! Let’s remind one another : IT’S OKAY TO PAUSE AND PRAY
